SAMITA’S YOGA LIFE JOURNEY
From the humble origins of selling cigarettes, a path of transformation led Samita to the majestic Himalayas, immersing her in the sacred wisdom of a traditional monk's existence.
The Spark of Science, Metaphysics and Spirituality.
An encounter shaped her path as a young soul, as Samita found herself graced by the presence of her revered mind scientist mentor and teacher, former civil engineer, Sir T.K.V. Desikachar, a luminary in the realm of Yoga Therapy and son of the illustrious Yoga Teacher and Metaphysician, Professor Krishnamacharya. In the embrace of her teacher's guidance, Samita's healing journey took flight. She studied Yoga Therapy under her teachers for over a decade and a half.
She received sacred teachings of Buddhism from the Dalai Lama.
Swami Dayananda Saraswati, a world-renowned teacher of Vedanta Philosophy, which is based on Metaphysics and beyond, Absolute Reality and Self Realization, Samita studied under his graceful guidance and tutelage.
I am blessed to have met Samita and have studied with her for some time now. Samita passes down her knowledge of true yoga as taught to her by her teacher, Desikachar, son of Krishnamacharya. Through the one-on-one sessions we have had together she has taught me many things I can apply to my yoga study, and to my life. Specifically, chanting, personalized asana programs and diet, health, emotional and spiritual advice. However, Samita will tailor your sessions specifically to your needs, as she does not believe one size fits all.”
