HIGHER INTELLIGENCE CULTIVATION

HIGHER INTELLIGENCE CULTIVATION by Yogacharya Samita Rathor

Let us begin our New Year with beautiful thoughts on how to cultivate Higher Intelligence and go beyond our perceptive abilities to reach the heart where intuition and love resides.

PURPOSE OF LIFE

The whole purpose of this precious Tree of Life is for us to prosper in all aspects and grow into mindfully humane humans. This aspect of evolution differs from person to person. Let us discover our own growth patterns. Different trees take different amounts of time to grow their branches, leaves, fruits and flowers. This also applies to each of us because we are very unique individual beings. There is no need to compare ourselves with others.

In this journey called life we can plant seeds of compassion to cultivate gratitude with faith to ignite our higher intelligence.

HOW TO CULTIVATE HIGHER INTELLIGENCE

This can be done by making few commitments in the way we process our thoughts.

1.   Take responsibility physically, mentally and spiritually.

As long as we live we have to take responsibility for our own actions, physically, mentally and emotionally. By being in a constant state of turmoil we can block our thought processes from experiencing emotional well being.

So when you make a commitment, follow it through.

2.   Be a contributor and not a controller.

We can be contributors, not controllers. Before we give to anyone we need to be contributors to our own well being. Only then can we pass it on to our environment. Contribution can be done with an open heart. Put focus on your own evolution constantly which is positive and action oriented.

3.   We cannot change others.

Christ failed in changing the Romans. Rama failed in changing Ravana. Rather than changing a person add to their growth.

Each and every human being on this planet requires growth. Judgment is subjective, so it can never be the ultimate. Just as others require growth, we also require growth.

This whole process of wanting people to change can only create more turmoil. Help can only be given to those who ask for it.

We can give ourselves the thought and ability to accommodate others as much as we can, to those who are changing for the better, who are changing for the worse and who do not change.

4.   Discover security in your own self.

Material objects can never give us permanent security. The nature of an object is impermanent so even the security is short lived. Live intelligently and discover your own power. Apply to it the laboratory of life again and again to help the mind grow positively.

Living intelligently in tune with nurture and nature will automatically give rise to inner joy and strength, much needed in these times.

The whole world celebrates New Years at different times of the year. This very clearly brings to light that the New Year is comparable and not a definite concept. The purpose of having a New Year helps us evaluate to become mindful of what is happening in our lives. It is a celebration of reinventing, recharging and preparing for the future.
